At A Daily Dose of You, you will find ways to make you feel your best from the inside out, both emotionally and physically. I will share my experiences and ideas. I will share serious thoughts and fun thoughts. I will share inspirational quotes and stories. And I will share the things I do to make me happy. My goal in sharing this all with you is not only to give you inspiration on how to make yourself a priority, but to encourage you to do it AND feel great about it.
I started this page because I have become a firm believer in that taking a little time out of everyday to cater to our individual needs and wants is super important to being our best self. It has taken me a long time to get to this state of balance, but now that I truly believe it, I want you to believe it too.
I have to admit, I haven’t always been good at this whole “me time” thing. In fact, I’ve been quite terrible at it! For as long as I can remember, I’ve been one of those people who puts everyone else’s needs and wants in front of my own. While this is one of the traits I really do like about myself, not tending to myself and rarely putting myself first started to take a toll.
Over the past few years, I experienced a lot of ups and downs. While I didn’t realize it initially, it became clear that in order to get to a more balanced state of being, I needed to do more for me instead of always worrying about others. Through the loving support of my family and therapist, I’ve come to a place where I truly believe that I deserve to do things for me, that my wants and needs matter and that the more I tend to them, the better I feel.
With this new found way of life, an overwhelming feeling came over me and I just knew I had to share it with the world in hopes that it would lead even just one person towards becoming a better version of him or herself.
So in honor of my love for taking others needs and wants into consideration, I bring you A Daily Dose of You.
